With this rear extension and complete refurbishment of a bungalow in Cheam we started by taking down all internal walls and stripping out all existing floor joists, leaving us with a blank canvas. We moved onto the ground work, extracting soil and pouring new foundations for a four meter extension. We then fitted steel supports and removed the existing rear wall, to opening up the property to its full 160 square metre footprint.
This extension in Cheam required all new drainage to accommodate the new layout of the property. A full footprint concrete slab was installed then insulated, with a screed finish.
When our client saw the open space they decided to alter the internal layout that they had agreed with their architect. We worked closely with them to match their new requirements. We created two very large bedrooms with ensuite’s, a steam room, cloakroom and an extensive kitchen, living and dining room.
This refurbishment in Cheam was finished to an exceptionally high standard, with solid wood flooring throughout, quartz worktops, floor to ceiling mosaic tiles to the steam room and fibre optic lighting.
